Cialis Together

Cialis Together is a new treatment for erectile dysfunction.

It contains the same ingredient as Cialis, Tadalafil. The main difference is that you don’t need a prescription from your GP to get it.

It is available as a 10mg dose. Each pack contains 4 tablets. If you’re looking for a higher dose, you can get a 20mg dose of the prescription-only Cialis.

An erection occurs when the blood is trapped in the penis. So when blood flow is limited, this can cause erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together, therefore, works by increasing blood flow to the penis.

It contains Tadalafil which belongs to a group of medicines called PDE-5 inhibitors. It works the same as medicines such as Viagra (Sildenafil), Levitra (Vardenafil) and Spedra (Avanafil).

They reduce the effects of the PDE-5 enzyme in the smooth muscle cells lining the blood vessels. Doing so improves blood vessel dilation in the soft tissues of the penis.

This makes it easier to achieve and sustain an erection.

Cialis Together, as well as the prescription-only Cialis, have unique benefits compared to other ED medications.

• It’s fast-acting - the medication will start to work 30 minutes after taking it.
• It’s long-lasting - you can take it and experience the effects for up to 36 hours afterwards. It means you can still be spontaneous.
• You don’t need a prescription - it is available over the counter at most pharmacies, like Viagra Connect.

While equally effective as other prescription ED medications, these features may mean Cialis fits more with your lifestyle.

Take one 10mg tablet as needed. Then, wait at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. However, you should still see the effects of the medication for 36 hours after taking it.

Do not take more than 1 tablet a day. If it doesn’t work the first time, relax and try to have sex again. It is not intended for daily use. If you’re looking for a daily treatment, you may prefer Cialis Daily.

If you take more tablets than you should, you may experience side effects. Taking more than one erectile medication at the same time can increase your risk of side effects. Contact your doctor if you take too many tablets.

Cialis Together is safe for most adult men with erection problems. However, some groups of people should not take it.

Do not take this medication if you:

• have had a mild heart attack in the last 90 days
• have non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NAION) - a condition that causes a lack of blood flow to the optic nerve
• have hypotension (low blood pressure)
• have mild to severe heart failure
• have been advised to not have sexual activity
• have been advised to take any medications that dilate the blood vessels
• have recently had a stroke
• have uncontrolled arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)
• have uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure)
• have unstable angina (chest pain)
• take nitrate medicines (e.g. glyceryl trinitrate, amyl nitrite “poppers” or isosorbide mononitrate) - used for chest pain or heart failure
• take guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g. riociguat) - used for conditions that cause high blood pressure in the lungs

For other medical conditions, your doctor may want to check before you use it. This includes if you have:

• a condition that causes a penis deformity
• cardiovascular disease
• left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO)
• a predisposition to priapism (e.g. from sickle-cell disease, multiple myeloma or leukaemia)

You may be able to still use Cialis Together. However, your doctor will need to assess whether it’s safe for you to do so.

Some factors may make Cialis Together less effective or put you at a greater risk of side effects.

Food & drink

Certain foods and drinks can affect your results:

• heavy meals - can make it harder for tadalafil to enter the bloodstream
• alcohol - can affect your ability to achieve and maintain an erection
• grapefruit juice - it can increase the effects of the medication, putting you more at risk of low blood pressure or fainting

It’s best to take this medication on an empty stomach to see the best results.

Other medications

Some medications, while safe to take with Cialis Together, may interact and alter its effects. These include:

• alpha-blockers - used to treat urinary problems or benign prostatic hyperplasia (e.g. tamsulosin)
• certain antibiotics (rifampicin, erythromycin and clarithromycin)
• certain antifungals (itraconazole and ketoconazole)
• HIV medications (ritonavir and saquinavir)
• epilepsy medications (phenobarbital, phenytoin and carbamazepine)
• recreational drugs
• finasteride - used for hair loss or benign prostatic hyperplasia
• theophylline - used for asthma
• cimetidine - used for heartburn and stomach ulcers

If you’re not sure whether this applies to you, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Like most medications, Cialis Together may cause some side effects. Common side effects of Cialis Together include:

• flushing
• stomach discomfort
• headaches
• muscle aches and pains
• stuffy nose

Most common side effects should disappear on their own once your body has adjusted to the medication. However, if they continue, talk to your doctor.

Rarely, you may experience serious side effects such as:

• an allergic reaction (e.g. wheezing, swelling, difficulty breathing or rashes)
• chest pains
• priapism - a painful erection last longer than 4 hours
• a sudden loss of vision
• Steven-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) - a serious skin disorder which causes flu-like symptoms and a painful rash
