More information about Scopoderm
Scopoderm is a prescription medication that is clinically proven to prevent travel sickness. The active ingredient, hyoscine hydrobromide, is administered in the form of a patch, which is placed on the skin before travel. Scopoderm patches can prevent symptoms for as long as 72 hours, making it a highly beneficial option for those with a known susceptibility to motion sickness.
The Scopoderm patches contain an active ingredient called 'hyoscine hydrobromide', which belongs to a group of medications named antimuscarinics. Hyoscine prevents motion sickness by interfering with the communication of particular nerve messages that would usually trigger vomiting and sickness.
These nerve messages are sent from what is known as the 'vomiting centre' in the brain, which would otherwise be activated by the vestibular system, working from contradictory signals sent from the eyes.
Scopoderm is a clinically proven medication which has a successful history of effectively preventing the most common forms of travel sickness. One of its most significant benefits that it is available in the form of a patch, which can be easily and discreetly applied behind the ear. This is an easier way to administer the medication for those who may find it difficult to swallow tablets. The effects of the Scopoderm patches last for up to 72 hours, making it is suitable for long journeys.
This medication is only available on prescription, which means it is not considered suitable for everyone. Most adults who suffer from motion sickness should not have any issue with this treatment. However, before using Scopoderm, it is important to consider certain precautions.
You should be sure to disclose all relevant medical information when you complete your online consultation, as our doctor will be able to confirm whether Scopoderm is suitable for you based on the information you provide at this time.
Scopoderm is available to buy from HealthExpress in a 1.5mg dose and is very easy to use as it comes in the form of a transdermal patch.
There is a small possibility that you will experience some adverse side effects while using this medication. You should be aware that side effects affect users in different ways, and you might experience one or a combination of the side effects that have been reported by other users. Possible effects include:
You may experience some nausea and balance disturbance after you remove the patch if you have had it in place for longer than a day or two. If you experience any side effect that concerns you, it is recommended that you discuss this with a medical professional.
If you would like to buy Scopoderm patches to help prevent travel sickness, you can order the patches online here at HealthExpress. We ask that you first complete a quick and completely free online consultation, in which you will be asked the same questions as you would during an ordinary consultation at a doctor's surgery.
This consultation will be reviewed by a UK qualified doctor, who will recommend treatment based on the information you have provided. At this point, you will be able to place your order. Your order will be delivered via our next day delivery service.

This medication is expensive but I've suffered from seasickness since becoming an adult in anything more that a bit of a swell, and this is the only medication that seems to work for me. I've used it on small boats and large ships in all sorts of conditions & it's been brilliant. The only (minor) side-effect is that it gives me a dry/tacky mouth which is exacerbated by air conditioning on big ships ...so I drink lots of fluids while I'm taking it. I'd rather that than feeling seasick! Oh; I did have one come off in the shower once as well, even though I was trying to avoid getting that area wet - so I take a couple extra with me, just in case.

I have been using Scopaderm for many years for all journeys, whether it be by car, ferry or flying. For me it's the only medication that prevents travel sickness and without it I don't think I would be able to travel long haul. I have recommended these little patches to many people over the years.
